Google Instant Search

Yesterday Google said and released search as you type. Most of you must have experienced it by now! Google blog for it is here  Though it has fantastic speed to search at the speed of type, but my few points to put on table:
1. Do they need Search button now?!!
2. If search starts after a configurable number of characters wouldn't it be better?! Initial few characters, mostly, would not match with your search keyword. e.g. after 4 characters only instant search starts and you can set your number 4 in settings. Searching for first character I type has rare probability that it would give me correct search, than why to overkill?!

Gmail Priority Inbox

Gmail came with a real good feature of Priority Inbox. Which filters out most of marketing emails to Not Important virtual folder. Read more here and watch video here.

Enabling Google Video chat is very easy still I heard getting issue enabling it. This is what Google has to say in response to all these queries.

Nice GMail Attachment Features

I read Google Blog this morning and found them worth sharing. I liked first three features very much. Third feature was much needed, many times I forgot to attach a file, which I mentioned in the email.

First feature of Drag and Drop of files is nice to have. I developed drag and drop control (about 2.5 years back for a search company like Google!) to build dynamic Html page and so I know underline technology, (Google must be using different frameworks, still concepts remain same) and also know how complex is it. 

Google seeking major technical advancement or new products to beat other tech companies, will have to keep excellent work coming out !

GMail and other email service providers already using Drag and Drop feature to move email to other folder. I think this is the next era of Ajax. When Google introduce it first time it amazed people like me. New features like this, keeps me curious to know what else Ajax will provide the next day.

Government said that as much as 76 per cent of e-mails originating from India are spams, although the country accounts for only one per cent when compared with top 25 spam-producing nations.
In a written reply, Communication and Information Technology Minister A Raja informed the Lok Sabha: "As per a study conducted on internet security by one of the international industry leaders, the spam origination in India amounts to 76 per cent."


Gujarat Election


I keep on receiving emails from Gujarat - to vote to Modi. Surprisingly most of these spammers are literate and so called Software Engineers ! I am sure they are not getting paid. Early days in my village, political parties used cars to commute voters from their home to the voting booth. Poor villagers never sat in a car and it was a motivation for them to vote ! On the way, driver ( a political supporter) used guide all passengers that put a cross on Hand or Lotus or blah blah. Villagers hadnt good idea about importance of a vote.
Secondly, parties used to pay to painters to make party advertisements on wall.

In this internet era, spammers are like these painters or those drivers ! Painters or drivers were probably doing their business or job. These spammers?! They do spam at the cost of their job ! Most of them use office time to spam ! Mostly they forward emails, because they dont have anything good to write! Neither they have their own mind to decide or think better.


They are eating lots of internet bandwidth ! May be they can convince illiterate internet users !

Was trying to access intimespectrum.com and got ODBC connection error for couple of time, little later I got following page.. Somebody definitely doing some trial and error method to make this site working, or they are doing testing on live site (on production) !! Many companies like Mudra still prefer services from company like intime ! Wont Mudra or other companies have a good manager who can evaluate such a basic check before taking a decision on service provider..

દર પાંચમાંથી ચાર ભારતીયો સ્નાતક છે અને મોટાભાગના ભારતીયો વ્હાઈટ કોલર જોબ ધરાવે છે જેમાંથી 80 ટકા લોકો મેનેજમેન્ટ,પ્રોફેશનલ અને તેને સંબંધિત વ્યવસાયો સાથે સંકળાયેલા છે.
સીલીકોન વેલીમાં ભારતીયોને ભારે ટક્કર આપી રહેલા ચીનાઓ અંગ્રેજીમાં ભારતીયોથી પાછળ રહી જાય છે.
